PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, The Longwood Central School District continues to take steps to reduce the potential for exposure to the coronavirus (COVID-19). The District’s efforts in this regard are made in furtherance of federal, state, and local mandates to limit all public gatherings.


The Board of Education of the Longwood Central School District has scheduled the following meetings for the month of February 2021:

Thursday, February 11, 2021 – Regular Meeting & Public Hearing on the Districtwide Safety Plan – 7:00 p.m. via Zoom
(Rescheduled from 2/4/21)
Thursday, February 25, 2021 – Regular Meeting – 7:00 p.m. via Zoom


As authorized by Governor Andrew M. Cuomo’s Executive Order 202.92, issued on January 27, 2021, the public will not be permitted to attend the meetings in-person. 

The public can send comments/questions for the board to the District Clerk, Lillian Pizzolo at within 24 hours of the scheduled meeting.  Please provide your name, address, phone number and write in the subject line, “COMMENT/QUESTION FOR BOE MEETING”. Comments/questions will be limited to 3 minutes and will be timed.

The meetings/workshop will be held via Zoom, Live Stream, audio recorded and transcribed. It is anticipated that the Board of Education will make a motion at the beginning of the meetings setting forth the manner in which the meetings will be conducted and waiving any applicable policies or common practices with respect to the conduct of the meetings.

It is further anticipated that the public participation portion of the meetings will be suspended. Meetings will be recorded and later transcribed in accordance with Executive Order 202.92.

The following Board Committee meetings will be held virtually for the month of February:

 Legislative Committee – TBD – 7:00 p.m.

 Safety Committee – Tues., Feb. 23, 2021 – 7:00 p.m.
