PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, The Longwood Central School District continues to take steps to reduce the potential for exposure to the coronavirus (COVID-19). The District’s efforts in this regard are made in furtherance of federal, state, and local mandates to limit any and all public gatherings.

The Board of Education of the Longwood Central School District has scheduled a regular meeting for Thursday, September 17, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. with public participation.

All attendees will be required to comply with applicable executive orders, CDC and department of health guidelines and local rules including but not limited to social distancing, the wearing of masks and room capacity limitations.

In order to help protect the health and safety of our community and in compliance with the CDC - If you answer yes to any of the questions below, please DO NOT enter the school board meeting; temperature checks will take place prior to entering the High School building. All visitors will be asked to answer and sign a form containing the following questions.

  • Have you been knowingly in close contact in the past 14 days with anyone who has tested positive through a diagnostic test for COVID-19 or who has COVID-19?

  • Have you experienced any symptoms of COVID-19, including a temperature greater than 100 degrees, loss of smell or taste, chills, shortness of breath or a new or worsening cough in the past 14 days?

  • Have yes tested positive through a diagnostic test for COVID-19 in the past 14 days?

  • Have you traveled internationally or from a state with widespread community transmission of COVID-19 per the New York State Travel Advisory in the past 14 days? (https://coronavirus.health.ny.gov/covid-19-traveladvisory)

    The meeting will be held in the in the Auditorium at Longwood Senior High School, 100 Longwood Road, Middle Island, NY. with an attendance capacity of 50 people including Board members, Administration, and the District Clerk. The meeting will be Live Stream on the district website.
