Child Care Resources
As part of the Governor Cuomo’s Executive Order, the district is offering FREE child care for health care workers, first responders, and transit workers.
In partnership with our before and after-care provider, Right At School, child care will be provided at Longwood Middle School from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday, for the duration of school closure. Registration is on a first-come first serve basis with limited enrollment through the
Right At School website.
If you are interested and eligible, please reach out to Cindy Walker, Right At School Area Manager at (914) 327-1436 or cindy.walker@rightatschool.com. Once registered, you will receive more information about protocol and procedures directly from Right At School.
For children under five years of age, there are 195 licensed and registered child care programs open and available to serve children Suffolk County. In addition, the Stony Brook Child Care Center is open for employees, with the capacity to serve up to 80 children under age five. Any essential worker needing child care can also call the CCCS hotline at (646) 926-3784 to be connected with a referral specialist who will identify available programs.
