Three LHS Students Receive SCALA Awards
Three Longwood High School student artists recently received awards at the Suffolk County Art Leaders Association (SCALA) All-County and Scholarship Show at the Old Babylon Town Hall.

Senior Alyssa Frey is the recipient of the All-County Scholarship Award for her submission of three entries, “Exist,” “Serenity", and “Out of My Head.”

Senior Caitlyn Long was named first place winner in 3-D for “Autumn Reflection.”

Junior Brennan Viruet won the BACCA Award for Drawing and Painting, “Abstract Symphony.”

“There were 14 districts represented in the show and 53 entries,” said High School Art Teacher Cynthia Gerard.  “Our hardworking students have put in countless extra hours to achieve their highest goals, and we are so proud of their accomplishments.”
