Longwood Welcomes New Assistant Superintendent for Human ResourcesThe District is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert Hagan, Ed.D., to the position of Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources, effective September 14, 2020. Dr. Hagan replaces Richard Kollar, who retired on June 30, 2020. 

As the Director of Learning Technology and Instruction at East Hampton School District, Dr. Hagan implemented the human resources application process, assisted in APPR plan development, served as Special Advisor for Learning and Innovation, developed Automated Employee Emergency Contact Cards, and implemented school security and safety infrastructure. Before joining East Hampton, Dr. Hagan was the Assistant Secondary Administrator for Instruction and Administration at William Floyd School District. Dr. Hagan also serves as an Adjunct Professor for Educational Leadership at Stony Brook University and Fordham University.

"I am honored to become a part of the Longwood Central School District," stated Dr. Hagan. "Longwood has a tradition of educational excellence with outstanding community support. I look forward to serving the community and working collaboratively with all stakeholders."

Dr. Hagan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Fordham University, a Master of Science in Secondary Education in Social Studies from Dowling College, a Post-Master's Advanced Graduate Certificate from Stony Brook University, and received his Doctorate in Education from Fordham University. He also received his certification in district administration. 

"Dr. Hagan is an experienced administrator who has exemplary knowledge in human resources," Superintendent Dr. Lonergan said. "He brings integrity and enthusiasm to our leadership team, and I know he will use those traits to ensure that we continue to have the very best teachers, administrators, and staff that support our students in reaching their full potential."
