Competing against 16 teams from Queens and Long Island, Longwood's first-place winners, attorneys Diana Khan and Makayla Zito, and witness Y Loni Glenn, prepared and presented in five legal cases defeating Massapequa High School in the final competition round.

The second team, attorneys Ashley Jones and Joe Haisman, and witness Peyton Morrison remained undefeated through the semi-finals. In addition, Paralegals Mason Mehling, Nicole Acosta, and Briana Diaz researched legal information and helped prepare documents.

Under the guidance of Mock Trial co-advisors Ms. Eisen and Mr. Chan, and attorney consultant coach, Ms. Russell, students demonstrated their knowledge of law and courtroom procedures in a trial case that involved issues relevant to young people.

Judging was handled by local attorneys and judges based on criteria, including preparation, performance, and professionalism.
